A unique innovating concept in France! In a greenery environment, you can enjoy a 600-square-meter stretch of water with filtered and heated water like in a swimming pool !
This place of recreation is sowed with grass green, it is equipped with a barbecue, heated showers and toilets.
Moreover, the site is equipped with a chute, a massage seat, a rapid river and water cannons.

Discover the Lakeside Walk, an outstanding bird-watching site
The Lakeside Walk is a virtually flat ten kilometre-long path around the lake, passing through forests and reed-beds, along which you can either walk or cycle. Boasting a rich variety of plants and wildlife, all the family will enjoy this little paradise for nature lovers. Certain parts of the walk are wheelchair accessible, and there is a leaflet available that describes the different types of trees. The Escale dam was filled with water in 1960, and today it is full to 80% with Durance silt, which has resulted in it becoming overgrown with reed-beds and riparian vegetation, thus creating a marvellous environment for avifauna. For this reason the area has been classified IBA (Important Bird Area). In this protected nature reserve there are more than 150 bird species, and special areas have been set up from where you can observe them in peace, don't forget your binoculars! |
